Solar water heating for pools has some market penetration primarily because of Cowboys making a sale and doing a minor install. The competition was/is only pool water heaters! Public companies like Envision Solar (evsi) take on the electric companies and help form the infrastructure for solar power for electric cars, businesses with parking. Residential is huge and until we are closer to grid parity making a solar investment is for personal use the rich and the GREEN. envisionsolar.com

I have bought sunseaker solar pool heater panels and found that one of the panels is leaking. The company expects me to ship them the cracked part TO MY EXPENSE, so they will EVALUATE whether this is guaranteed. The panels work but the company's policies don't do it for me!

Did you ever find anything? I have an extremely sunny stockade fence that I would love to replace with a hollow solar absorbing fence to heat my pool. John

to import solar and gas heating pool systems

We are interested to import tow heater systems to be option as following:
1- Solar water & air heating systems
2- Gas water & air heating systems
3- Electrical water 7 air heating systems
3- Hybrid solar and gas heating systems
Swimming pool system sizes as following:
Pool long: 25 m
Pool wide: 15 m
Pool depth: 2 m
Land surrounded the pool is 5 m from all sides
Roof height from the land is 5 m in medium.

even two years old info is mostly good

Fafco still appears to be leader but perhaps Rob's local dealer needs a swift kick in the derriere? ;-)

Sunfence is gone as Paul learned. The domain was originally registered through one of those Euro domain companies and expired in October of 2007. It has since passed hands to a domain name re-marketer / services provider in the state of Washington.

Have a great day!

I need two replacement panels for my Fafco system, they are 4' x 12'. Is there someone I can buy these from instead of going through a local dealer?

Can you provide an email or contact for solar pool heater fences? I have not been able to find this on the internet. I did try the link to Sunfence above.

Thanks,

Hello All,

Just a thought that I want to put out there about energy. It has to do with heat exchangers and their surfaces. Why are we still working with flat and round surfaces to control and dissipate energy. Why not a 4x8 surface of plastic or copper that has been stamped or molded into raised squares against a flat surface channeling an exchange media between them for maximum surface area contact. Or two 4x8 sheets of material with pyramid like protrusions interlocking the pyramids with a fluid channeling gape between them.
You can see this would have solar applications too. That’s all I have to say because I don't have any money to take advantage of the idea.

respectfully,

frangr
