FLOORING: Marmoleum releases new flooring color pallet

Forbo Flooring Systems, a leader in linoleum floor coverings and eco-friendly flooring alternatives, has just announced the availability of their new Marmoleum Dutch Design Collection that includes 12 new colors.  The Dutch Design Collection is listed on the Forbo website, but can only be found under the Commercial (vs. Residential) category of their website, but the products are available to homeowners.  Forbo tells us that the unique colors will be sold through December 2009.

      

MARMOLEUM DUTCH DESIGN

Marmoleum Dutch Design is a range of Marmoleum flooring developed by 12 Dutch designers who were granted complete artistic freedom. Their inspiration was very personal: a favorite color, a shade with a great future or a color missing from the current ranges. The result is a collection of 12 unique colorings, 12 designs each telling their own story (colors are shown next to the Designers in the images of this article)

With a track record of over 100 years, Marmoleum has gained popularity among architects, designers and consumers  all over the world. Made from natural ingredients, including linseed oil, rosin, wood flour and jute, Marmoleum is ideal for a variety of applications, including healthcare, education, corporate and retail - and residential usage. The intensity of its colors and its uncomplicated character ensure a floor that develops elegantly over time. Marmoleum Dutch Design is available in a thickness of 2.5mm with matching welding rods available for all designs.

Marmoleum Dutch Design is protected with the unique Topshield finish. Thanks to Topshield, each color keeps its natural beauty, just as the designer intended. Topshield offers unique and superior dirt protection, design sharpness and a matte finish, as evidenced by independent testing carried out by the renowned flooring technology research institute WFK. In their tests, Topshield significantly outperformed all other common resilient flooring materials tested.
