I purchased both the Oasis Elite HT washer and Dryer in 2008. haven’t had much problem with the dryer other than it is suppose to be smart enough to know when something is dry, and if I dry something like bed sheets, I have to dry them 3 times before they actually dry.

Now the Washer. I noticed rust about a year ago. It is located on the RIM as you put clothes into the tub. I have the Wonderful “master protection agreement” plan and have been fighting with sears for over a year now. I have been informed that rust is not covered under the MPA. Has anyone else had this problem. It looks like when they painted the rim they failed to paint all the way around to seal the rim. the rust is now creaping all thw way up to the softener dispenser. The paint is now bubbling up and the rust is falling into the drum during the wash cycle, ruining my clothes. THIS IS THE LAST THING THAT I WILL EVER BY FROM SEARS AGAIN. I HAVE CLOSED MY SEARS ACCOUNT OF 20 YEARS. BEWARE OF SEARS!!!!

Do not waste your money on either the washer or the dryer. The washer leaked on us 3 times in a 6-month period and flooded our finished basement. Lots of damage. Sears is finally agreeing to a replacement for the washer after months of phone calls but will not replace the dryer (which beeps constantly). Now I will have to live with a mis-matched set and an annoying dryer that wrinkles clothes and makes them smell burnt. I wonder if Sears sees these postings?? Perhaps I will print and send to them. It’s a shame that so many people have to go through so much aggravation.. If I can save another family from going through the aggravation it will be well worth myt time.

The oasis ht 15 months old has given me problems from day one, the washer and the dryer! My clothes are ripped to shreads and non of my wash getss the stains out and the wrinkles seem to be there for life, my sheets are so twisted when the come out of the wash, the dryer can’t seem to take them out! I am going to some how wage war and hae them take these back, apparently you have to have 3 service calls, and get them to claim it is a lemon!

We were suckered into buying the Kenmore Elite Oasis Ht Washer about 10 months ago. We’re getting f## error codes… the machine is literally brand new…

It’s a great looking piece of junk…. Makes me wonder….Do the words “Made in China” have anything to do with what’s wrong in our country. No customer service, no help, we’re all just reduced to searching our computers looking for some kind of help from being ripped off once again.

had a Maytag for close to 20 years, and except for hoses and a drive belt now n then, ran great till the tranny finally wore out.

I commented yesterday regarding my Kenmore Elite HE 5T washer…contacted Sears Store where washer was purchased…the person I spoke to couldn’t (or wouldn’t) tell me what the code F 70 meant…I made it perfectly clear that the product was faulty in such a short time of use…reported to me the machine was not on the recall list…was away from the phone for long periods of time…I went from product services department who referred me to managemyhome.com then transferred to department for recall (?) to Kenmore’s direct line (1 888 536-6673) who referred me once again to managemyhome.com then referred to product resolution line (recall line) (1 800 659-7026)with no results, then, referred again to the consumer product safety commission…All the while, every individual I spoke with said they were more than happy to schedule a service call to “find out the problem” Are there others who have had difficulty with this washer?

I am experiencing problems with my Kenmore Elite Oasis Dryer. I purchased my dryer in October, 2008 and I still haven’t figured how to dry my plush cotton bath towels and wash cloths. I paid so much for this dryer; my towels should be soft and fluffy. My towels are too hard and they shouldn’t be. I have tried every setting on the dryer, but I still haven’t figured this out yet. My mother purchased a high-efficiency Maytag washer and dryer in 2006 and it washes and dries her towels beautifully. I had planned to buy a Maytag, but the company was bought out by Whirlpool. During this period of time no Maytag washers or dryers were being made. I am sure I would have done better if I had bought a conventional washer and dryer. I had a Hotpoint and it lasted for twenty-five years. This high-efficiency washer and dryer by Kenmore is not worth the price you pay.

I have the Kenmore Elite HE 5T washer….in such a short time, it is displaying the code F 70-I misplaced the manual and need to know what that code means…went online to find many customers are experiencing horrific problems…I’m afraid my difficulties have only just begun…I called the toll free # (1 800 847-9083) to find out if my washer is on their “recall list”-was advised to call next week when they are authorized to check/verify…in the mean time, I’ve called the Sears Store but not yet open for business…will update

I agree…DO NOT BUY A KENMORE ELITE OASIS DRYER OR WASHER… I purchased both 2 1/2 years ago and now the entire computer panel is out on my dryer. They want me, of course, to purchase their extended warranty for $200 ONLY covering the dryer for ONE year!!! I went off on the customer service department, which by the way BARELY spoke English, and told him I don’t want his stupid apoligies I want my damn money back! I told them I will NEVER purchase another Sears product and am going to Lowes tonight to buy a basic large capacity dryer with NO computer crap!!!

SEARS SUCKS!!!
