Another thing to note, as of 7/09 Solatube Daylighting Systems qualify for a 30% Federal Tax Credit.

Sarah,

Hopefully you received your answer. I am surprised that Solatube could not provide an answer. Perhaps the rep did not understand the question. The light add on kit and the vent add on kit have separate wiring. An electrician can create separate switches for the two.

For those of you in the Bay Area, Sola-Brite, serving the East Bay, North Bay, San Francisco and San Joaquin counties feel free to contact me at 800-846-6621 with any questions. For those of you outside the Bay Area please visit Solatube.com to locate a dealer near you.

To: Maureen, we're thinking of doing the same thing due two both baths being small. My question is though, were you able to wire the fan and light separately? So that the fan doesn't go on everytime the light is turned on? I called Solatube and asked, but they weren't sure.

Hi: We installed two solatubes with fan AND light in two high-end baths in Northern California. Have been super happy (4 mos). We have a Panasonic fan in our third bath, and this exhaust fan is similarly quiet and effective.

I'm writing in part because when I was looking for feedback, I found none for the all-=in-one arrangement.

BTW, we were motivated to do the all in one because both baths are small but high end, and we wanted to reduce ceiling clutter. Each bath has either two sconces or one sconce as well.

If you live in the Charleston or Savannah area and are interested in Solatube, DwellSmart in Mt Pleasant has an in-store display and people who can explain the advantages. They do business in-store and at dwellsmart.com.

How long has solatube been on the market?

I see lot of additional features on Solatube product compared to others, apart from those features, how does Solatube product compare with Velux and Natural Light products in terms of reliability and performance?

Thanks
Ritesh
